Use Daily Notes as an Inbox Throughout the Day

Use the daily note to keep a record of tasks, content consumed, meetings etc. throughout the day. These can be linked to the notes in your PKM (e.g. org roam directory). This way the notes of those files will contain backlinks to the relevant notes.

Follow On Thoughts

I still use my single inbox.org file for most things I capture as they tend to be task related and do not benefit from linking to my org-roam files. I unfortunately at this current time, tend to not really think much about the notes I may have taken within my org-roam directory. Perhaps because I don’t really have a creative outlet and don’t actually read regularly.

I quite like using my dailies note as a place to capture brain dumps and logs however. Sometimes, these may substantiate. I also capture social gatherings in the dailies note as a general record. If anything substantial develops from such social gatherings, I can easily capture it on my phone (see Phone Emacs Setup).
